A total of 175 workers at the Iittala tableware glass production plant in Finland have been warned about their jobs.
The owner of the Hämeenlinna, Finland glass facility, Fiskars Group, has started employee negotiations regarding furloughs at the site.
Fiskars said it needed to temporarily adjust the factory’s production capacity due to high inventories.
The 175 glassworks staff will be covered by the consultations.
Fiskars has also started negotiations around the possible closure of some of its retail stores in Finland.
It is in discussions about the closure of its Porttipuisto, Järvenpää and Palokka stores with 26 staff at risk.
