Interglass plans to start up a second flat glass production line in Tokmok town, Kyrgyzstan.

"We plan to increase the production capacity of the plant by 15% and to build a new line in two years,” explained Vladimir Steinert, Founder of Interglass.

He noted that €36 million was spent to reconstruct old equipment. “The glass manufacturing plant existed in Tokmak in Soviet times. In 1999 it was declared bankrupt. In 2002, it was launched again, but after some time was stopped for modernisation. At present, raw materials for glass production are delivered from Russia and Kazakhstan, and mountain ores from Kyrgyzstan,” added Mr Steinert.
