Lattimer, a precision machinist to the global glass manufacturing industry, has appointed a new Business Development Manager.
The Southport, UK, firm has employed Carl Cleaver to spearhead a UK-wide cross-sector sales campaign.
Lattimer is a specialist provider CNC (Computer Numerical Control) parts. It uses a number of techniques including milling, turning, mill-turning, grinding and drilling.
Carl has more than 25 years' experience in the manufacture and supply of Tier 1 and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products to the automotive and other sectors.
He said that Lattimer has a strong reputation as a world-leading precision machinist in the global glass manufacturing industry.
“The brief I have been given by Lattimer is a mouth-watering opportunity,” said Carl. “More than 80% of the firm’s sales are currently within the niche bottled glass manufacturing sector. It exports to more than 50 countries each year.”
Carl has worked with firms including Nissan and Jaguar Land Rover, as well as commercial vehicle businesses such as Catterpillar and JCB. He has international experience setting up sales offices in North America and has worked for US firms TRW Automotive and United Technologies Automotive.
