Austrian group Lisec has signed a contract worth €9 million with Yunnan Diankai Energy Saving Science & Technology Co., Ltd.

The Strategic Cooperation Contract was for a LiSEC Intelligent Continuous Glass Processing System.

This contract includes the automatic sorting, cutting, grinding, shuttle, loading/unloading of a toughening, insulating glass line and the production management system from LiSEC.

As planned in the contract, the first delivery of the installation will be at the beginning of December this year. Yunnan Diankai decided to choose LiSEC as a partner as, under the Chinese government's Industrie 4.0 policy, the company wants to achieve intelligent factory and manufacture, information and production systematisation.

Yunnan Diankai Energy Saving Science & Technology Company is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China. Its target market is based in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces and it will also export to neighbouring South Asian countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Burma.

Yunnan Diankai is a new company. It plans to build two float glass production lines with a daily output of 500t and 1200t. Its glass processing factory will be about 50,000 m2 in size built over two phases. It will employ 200 people in the first investment phase.

The CEO of LiSEC Shanghai Trading, Mr Qiao Chi and the General Manager of Yunnan Diankai Energy Saving Science & Technology, Mr. Chu Baoquan, signed the agreement during the state visit.

The contract was signed during a recent state visit to China by the Austrian President Heinz Fischer. He met with Chinese State Council Premier Li Keqiang and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

During the state visit of President Fischer, China and Austria signed approximately 20 cooperation agreements.
