RHI’s Matthew Wheeler has been selected as the recipient of this year’s Hotbels BTU award.
Mr Wheeler was chosen to receive the 2013 Hotbels BTU (Business & Technology United) Award for his contributions to the glass industry and also to Hotbels, where he has authored and delivered many presentations over the years.
Mr Wheeler received his B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University in 1996. He began his career with North American Refractories Co (NARCO), spending 12+ years with NARCO working with the glass industry.
He joined RHI US Ltd in 2008 as the Technical Marketing Manager for Glass Americas where he has continued his work on supplying technical solutions to the US glass Industry.
The 28th Hotbels Glass Industry Seminar was held in Lexington, Kentucky, USA on April 16th & 17th.
It featured a number of presentations by glass industry suppliers. This year’s seminar included representatives from 22 glass production facilities, as well as attendees from 28 companies that supply products and services to the glass industry.
The annual award was established in 2007 to recognise an individual’s contributed to the evolution of Hotbels and the education of the glass industry.
