In connection with the 60th anniversary of the company celebrated on 17th October, Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted a meeting between Director General Sergey Bednov and journalists from the industry.

Glass International has worked with the Expocentre due to its affiliation with the Mir Stekla Exhibition since 2010 and was sole foreign media invited to this close meeting with up to 40 participants, only.

Mr Bednov thanked the press for their highly professional work.

He recalled the milestones of the history of Expocenter, spoke about the current activities of the company, its leading positions in the Russian exhibition market, new projects and plans for the future. He expressed his attitude to the anniversary date with these words:

He said: “60 years from the point of view of history is probably a long period.

“But at Expocenter, we feel that we are not 60 years old, but who have gone from youthful age to mature young activity.

“And we are trying to make our complex modern so as to create a comfortable environment for exhibitors here.”

The meeting ended with the presentation of memorial diplomas and gifts to the press.

Glass International Magazine as the global media partner of Mir Stekla was the only sole foreign media holdings to receive an honorable diploma.

Alexander Gurov, representative of Glass International in Moscow, received the honorary diploma ‘for active coverage of the Expocenter’s exhibition activities and many years of successful cooperation’ and a prize from the Mr Bednov.

The 22nd edition of the Mir Stekla international exhibition will run at Expocentre Fairgrounds from 8th to 11th June 2020.
