MSK Covertech Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
The German-based international mechanical engineering company will mark the occasion in Kleve, Germany, this month.
MSK’s plans include a celebration with guests from the business and political communities, as well as an open house for the public.
The celebration will also feature demonstrations of high-performance machines in the Kleve production facilities, an overview of the group’s international focus, and key milestones in the company’s history.
The family-owned company was founded in 1975 by Reiner Hannen, and has international locations in Hungary, the United States, France, and China.
The business has been led by Christina and Linda Hannen as Managing Partners since 2013.
MSK is a supplier of cold-end solutions, packaging machines, and intralogistics, and ultimately aims to automate the production processes of industrial companies in the transport packaging sector.
MSK supplies cold-end solutions, packaging machines, and intralogistics internationally.
Reiner Hannen, president and founder of the company, said: “The challenges our customers face are often the source of our innovations.
“Innovation has shaped MSK’s entire history since its founding.
“It all began with the development, manufacturing, and sales of our own hand shrink guns.
“Over the years, the portfolio expanded to include semi- and fully automatic packaging machines for securing palletised loads with film, all the way to complete Cold Ends in the glass industry.
“A global brand in the packaging industry was born – MSK.”
Linda Hannen, Managing Partner at MSK, added: “As a family-run company, innovation is a strategic priority for us.
“We are currently focusing on the integration of software and artificial intelligence.
“We are working on solutions that enable an even higher level of automation, predictive maintenance, and flexibility for our customers – solutions that independently detect errors and provide solution-oriented instructions to the operator.”
In 2007, Christina Hannen joined the executive management of the MSK Group. Since 2011, the second generation has also been part of the executive management with daughter Linda Hannen.
Today the company operates with around 600 employees at five locations.
Christina Hannen, Managing Partner, said: “As owners, we stand for integrity, a passion for excellence, and continuity through long-term decision-making.
“Through our actions, we combine the cutting-edge with the tried-and-tested. Our corporate culture is characterised by openness, transparency, and autonomy.
“This way, we create sustainable corporate values in preparation for the future challenges.”
