The NSG Group will discuss its recent float glass furnace hydrogen firing trials at a conference focused on renewable glass manufacturing.
Andrew Keeley, team leader of the Manufacturing Technology Team within the Flat Glass Technology Group at NSG/Pilkington, will provide an overview of the hydrogen firing trials completed at NSG’s Greengate Works, UK under the Industrial Fuel Switching programme.
The presentation will discuss the safety assessments and engineering installation as well as a review of the outcome of the trials.
Mr Keeley is among 15 speakers confirmed so far at the two-day digital conference which takes place on November 9 and 10.
Speakers also include glass manufacturers Encirc, Wiegand-Glas and Steklarna Hrastnik, technology suppliers such as Schneider Electric, C-Capture as well as glass customers including Coca-Cola and Diageo.
