Ardagh Glass Packaging has worked with nut butter specialised Pip & Nut to transition its range from plastic to embossed glass.

The new launch came following consistent feedback from the company’s consumer community.

The new jars will be made from a minimum of 50% recycled glass and have a fully recyclable label and lid.

Working with Pip & Nut, and design agency B&B, the Ardagh team has developed a bespoke, embossed jar, hoping they are desirable for reuse.

Pip & Nut Founder said: “As a B-Corp*, we’re always striving to improve on how we can make our products better for the planet.

“With the move to glass jars, we’ve improved the recyclability of our products as glass is more widely recycled in the UK than plastic.”

She added: “We always listen closely to what our fans want, and they clearly asked us to move to glass, so we are delighted that day is finally here.

“As a brand we have promised our community that we’ll always deliver on Better Nuts, Better Taste, Better Business and this packaging relaunch underlines our commitment to this third pillar and to our overall goal of making nut butter better.”
