Obeikan Glass and Chinese technology company Liaoning Zhongyuan have signed an agreement to launch a second float glass line in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
The move aims to strengthen the Obeikan Glass’s industrial presence.
The float glass line will have a capacity of 650 tpd.
Obeikan Glass said its new line would reinforce it as a trusted supplier to both local and global markets.
It continued that it would also support ‘Vision 2030’ - a government programme launched by Saudi Arabia.
Currently, the company has a manufacturing capacity of 800 tpd and produces clear float glass from 3 to 12 mm thick.
