Owens Corning is to expand its North American non-woven business with a $130 million investment.
It will build a new campus which will house a manufacturing line, coating capability, and research and development teams, with the option of expansion in the future.
The investment has been made with the aim of generating opportunities in the building materials market.
The new site will use glass fibres supplied by existing plants to develop applications in wall covering, ceiling and flooring, specialty insulation, gypsum, and automotive products.
The exact location of the new site has not been clarified yet, but is due to be announced in the near future.
