Pennekamp has successfully commissioned three annealing lehrs at Ambev’s sustainable glass plant in Brazil.

Brazil-based brewing company Ambev recently launched its sustainable container glass plant in Carambeí, Paraná.

The plant produces 400 tpd of container glass.

As part of the plant’s commissioning, Pennekamp installed three gas-heated annealing lehrs, specifically engineered for maximum efficiency and performance.

Pennekamp’s engineering team developed custom-designed annealing lehrs, ensuring highly uniform temperature distribution across the entire lehr.

The company also started three complete sets of cold-end coating system, mould pre-heating, and deflector firing ovens.

Pennekamp said the project’s success was due to the co-operation between Ambev’s management and operational teams and Pennekamp’s engineers.

It continued that it was proud to have contributed to one of the region’s most sustainable container glass plants.

The company expressed its gratitude to the Ambev team for their trust and collaboration throughout the project.
