Pennine Industrial, a supplier of tooth silent conveyor chain and sprockets, has introduced a Stainless Steel 1/2” Pitch Silent Conveyor Chain.

According to the company, the thermal properties of stainless steel reduces the risk of thermal checking by retaining more heat energy than regular carbon steel chains: Reducing or eliminating the need for gas burners and reducing operating and maintenance costs.

The corrosion resistance of stainless steel conveyor chains also prevents any oxidisation marks common with carbon steel conveyor chains marking the bottom of the glass container, especially important in the high quality cosmetic industry.

Pennine Industrial has selected 420 grade stainless steel for its mechanical properties and because it can be hardened. This means that it has the same wear resistance as the carbon steel chain.

To complement the stainless steel chain, the company has also launched the THPL and PENN-GUARD in stainless steel giving pin head protection.
