Pilkington IGP in Szczecin, a Polish division of NSG Group, a leading manufacturer of float glass and products based on it, is to launch a second hardened glass line, in response to the growing demand for safety glass in the Nordic countries.
Owner NSG Group decided to buy and run the Pol1.8 million ($560k) second toughening furnace at the Pilkington IGP plant in Poland.
Granitsky Krzysztof, president of the combined companies Pilkington IGP and Pilkington Polska, said it would launch a secondary line of toughened glass, not only to increase the production capacity of the plant in Szczecin, but will develop logistics Pilkington IGP, which significantly reduce the time of product delivery to the customer.
