Piramal chooses Vertech’ for production monitoring

Piramal Glass has invested more than $110 million into creating additional capacity, and has decided to adopt Vertech’s SIL equipment on five of its production lines at its Kosamba plant.

The SIL is a modular system that provides tools for controlling the entire production process of a glass making factory, from the forming machines through to the palletisers.

There are currently over 100 glass plants that are equipped with SIL equipment from Vertech’.

Piramal aims to be one of the top three flaconnage manufacturers in the world, and is investing in new equipment and capacity with this in mind.

The Kosamba plant is scheduled to install the latest SIL2016 version featuring production and quality modules before the end of the first quarter.
