Piramal Glass Ceylon (PGC) inaugurated its new high capacity effluent treatment plant (ETP) in Sri Lanka on 22nd June 2012 (pictured).
The ETP plant is one such venture that ensures the preservation of water by recycling, while making sure that the water let out to the environment does not harm the environment and the surrounding community.
The company has spent over Rs 25 million on this project, and with the installation of this plant, it is expected to be recycling over 750m3 per day of its process water requirement in the manufacture of it’s glass bottles.
