US-based gas company Praxair is in preliminary discussions with Linde regarding a potential merger.
Praxair said the discussions were ongoing and there is no assurance that they will result in a transaction, or on what terms any transaction may occur.
Similarly, Germany’s Linde group said the discusions had not resulted in any agreements yet.
“Should these talks be successfully continued, Linde will inform the capital market and the public in accordance with statutory requirements”, it stated.
