Press Glass, the largest independent glass manufacturer in Europe, is to invest close to €12 million in its plant in Radomsko (Poland).
The area of the production halls will be doubled and 200 new employees are to be employed.
The plant in Radomsko is already the largest European centre for processing glass for the construction industry.
The plant was established in 2008 and is the company’s newest factory (the remaining ones are also located in Poland, at Nowa Wieś, Tczew and Tychy).
At the start the area of the plant was 12 thousand m², and after investment in 2012 the current area stands at 30 thousand m².
After the completion of this recent investment the area of the halls will increase to 63 thousand m².
The works on the development are due to start in the next quarter. The investment is part of a wider plan to increase sales to European markets, to which more than 80% of the glass manufactured by Press Glass is sold.
The factory’s production capacity will be extended by new production lines for manufacturing glazed units and laminated glass, furnaces for manufacturing tempered glass, and the centre for manufacturing enamelled glass and printed glass.
