PSR makes new board level appointments

Halifax based Parkinson-Spencer Refractories Ltd has announced the following additional board level appointments.

Ensuring the continuity of the family connection, Simon Parkinson becomes a director of the company.

Meanwhile, Les Gaskell is appointed Technical Director; David Ferguson is appointed Manufacturing Director; and Godfrey Nield is appointed Commercial Director.

David Parkinson remains as Chairman and Managing Director and John Caswell remains as Financial Director.

Mr Parkinson noted, “As we look to the future of the company it is clear that a board of only 2 directors who are both now in their sixties is not a good strategy for the long term continuity of the company.

“Apart from Simon Parkinson, the other three new appointments have between them almost 100 years of service at PSR and their knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we move forward and pass the mantle from one generation to another.”
