The Usable Glass Strength Coalition (UGSC) is seeking Research Proposals focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship between Surface Structure, Surface Chemistry and the Strength of Glass.
Specifically, the UGSC is seeking proposals to answer the question: Where and how do flaws nucleate in glass?
The response due date is May 15th, 2013 and proposals will be considered to support graduate level research at the MS (1.5 year term) to PhD (3 year term) level.
