Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark welcomed a royal visitor to its plant in Rotherham, South Yorkshire on Thursday 6th September.
Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO, toured the factory to see £10 million of recent investments, including a new white flint furnace, and had lunch with some of the company's Directors.
He signed the visitors' book and unveiled a plaque to commemorate his visit before Managing Director Tony McLoughlin presented the Duke with a special bottle of beer in one of Beatson Clark's new lightweight amber (brown) beer bottles (pictured).
“It was a great honour for us to welcome the Duke to our factory and he seemed to enjoy finding out how the glass process works,” said Lynn Sidebottom, Sales and Marketing Director at Beatson Clark.
