Safelite Group buys Royal Glass

US vehicle glass company Safelite Group is to acquire all of the vehicle glass division assets of Maryland-based Royal Glass Company Inc.

Royal Glass was established in 1971 and has a vehicle glass repair and replacement brand in the Washington, DC area, operating six retail sites in Alexandria, Capitol Heights, Prince Fredrick, Rockville, Waldorf, and Woodlawn. It employs 45 people.

The acquisition is the continuation of Safelite’s plan to grow in the USA. The deal does not include Royal’s tyre-related business in Capitol Heights.
