Saint-Gobain Glass and building materials company LuxWall have partnered to bring INSIO vacuum glazing to the European market.

Through this collaboration, Saint-Gobain Glass will integrate LuxWall’s transparent insulation technology into its Insulation, Innovation, and Optimisation (INSIO) solution.

LuxWall’s technology transforms glass from one of the largest sources of energy loss into a high-performing solution for energy conservation.

Its integration with Saint-Gobain Glass’s INSIO solution supports improved building performance, with reductions in energy costs and capital expenditure.

Nicolas Mondy, Vice President of the Glass Performance Segment of Saint-Gobain, said: “We are delighted to partner with LuxWall, bringing two innovative companies together in order to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient buildings and retrofit solutions.

“INSIO will allow us to support our customers to address the building decarbonisation challenge while enhancing window conception possibilities without compromising on tenant comfort.”

According to the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, energy loss through windows and glass façades accounts for approximately 40% of buildings’ heating and cooling demand.

By pairing Saint-Gobain Glass’s expertise and scale with LuxWall’s transparent insulation technology, the INSIO solution will help building owners, architects, and developers reduce energy waste without compromising design or daylighting.

Scott Thomsen, CEO and Founder of LuxWall, said: “Our mission at LuxWall has always been to reduce building energy consumption and carbon emissions at a price point that enables universal access for all.

“Partnering with Saint-Gobain Glass enables us to bring this mission to life on a global scale.

“Together, we’re transforming the building envelope from an energy liability into an essential asset for a sustainable future.”
