Saint-Gobain Solar Gard has opened a new facility in Qingdao, China.

The company said the plant will expand and improve support of the Asian market for architectural and automotive window films.

The coating facility will focus on the production of architectural and automotive window films providing safety and security, glare reduction, energy saving and C02 emission reduction solutions for the Asian market.

Saint-Gobain Solar Gard has a network of more than 1,800 Quantum and outlets in China.

The Qingdao manufacturing plant meets California’s EPA standards and will pursue ISO 14001:2004 certification.
