French glass manufacturer, Saint-Gobain, will invest in a €45m blowing glass mineral wool production line in Angers, France.

Saint-Gobain plans to invest €45m in a new blowing glass mineral wool production line at its Isover plant in Chemillé near Angers.

The line is being built to meet a rising demand in the French market for roof space thermal insulation solutions.

It demonstrates Saint-Gobain’s commitment to the climate and its active participation in the building energy renovation plan.

The multinational company is also planning to open new production lines with this investment at its plants in Azuqueca near Madrid, Spain and Vidalengo near Milan, Italy. The lines will become operational in spring and autumn this year.

The glass wool production line in Chemillé is scheduled to come on stream mid-2019.
