The companies will combine their expertise to implement AGC’s vacuum glass in Salamander windows.
AGC’s glass is coated in vacuum insulating Fineo glazing. The ultra slim glazing (from 6 mm total thickness) achieves high thermal and acoustic performances, better light transmission and weighs less, as well as being 100% recyclable.
Salamander windows with Fineo vacuum glass will achieve better results in terms of thermal and sound insulation, wind resistance and water tightness.
The higher energy performance values also result in potential savings for the profiles and thus resource efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
The lighter weight also allows for larger window areas and shapes to be created that were previously thought too difficult in the PVC sector.
Serge Martin, CEO of Fineo Glass said: “We are very enthusiastic about this partnership with Salamander. This will bring outstanding solutions on the market, with a clear focus on performance, design and sustainability.”
Salamander will be exhibiting its ‘window of the future’ at the Fensterbau Frontale in Nuremberg in July.
With its ‘myWindow strategy’, as well as products such as its greenEvolution modular system, the company was awarded with a ‘Top 100’ 2022 seal for special innovative strength and above-average innovative success.
