French company Saverglass, which manufactures luxury glass bottles for perfumes and cosmetics, has launched a facility in Ras al-Khaimah in the UAE.

Ras al-Khaimah ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi opened the manufacturing facility.

Sheikh Saud said Ras al-Khaimah will remain a perfect destination for investors worldwide.

The new factory will produce 150 million bottles a year. The company's products are exported to more than 80 countries. It posted net sales of 712 million dirhams ($190 million) in 2012.

The company said the site would help satisfy demand in the Southern hemisphere and serve markets including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. A total of 120 people will work at the plant.
