Dr Andrea Frenzel will become the newest member of the Schott Board of Management on April 01, 2023.
Dr Frenzel will succeed Hermann Ditz, who will enter his retirement.
She is currently the President of the Intermediates Operating Division at BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
At Schott, she will be assuming responsibility on the Board of Management for three business units and two overarching corporate functions, for which Mr Ditz was previously responsible.
Dr Michael Bolle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schott, said: "We are pleased to have Dr Frenzel, a successful, internationally experienced manager, join our company.

Short Biography
Andrea Frenzel (52) began her professional career in 1997 at BASF AG. She held several positions at BASF, including Vice President, Business Management Pigments North America for the BASF Corporation. Her most recent role was President, Operating Division Intermediates at BASF SE, which she has held since 2018. She studied chemistry at the University of Göttingen, where she received her diploma and afterwards received her Doctorate Degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1995.
