The new Society of Glass Technology President will address Indian students about the benefits of glass.
In an interactive discussion, Dr Arun Varshneya, will also provide an overview of the International Year of Glass (IYOG) to students from New Delhi, India.
Dr Varshneya was recently appointed as the first overseas President of the UK-based SGT.
He is also President of Saxon Glass Technologies as well as Professor of Glass Science & Engineering, Emeritus, at Alfred University, New York, USA.
The one-day interaction organised by the All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation (AIGMF) will also include a presentation from Mr. Purvish M Shah, Director of the Gopal Glass Works in Ahmedabad, India, who will provide an overview of the glass industry.
The day-long event will include pupils of St Thomas Sr Girls School, New Delhi and Delhi Technological University.
