The Society of Glass Technology (SGT) has revealed revised dates for its glass conferences and events.

The UK-based glass technology association said its annual Furnaces Solutions event will now take place year.

The glass furnaces-focused event takes place every June but was postponed last month due to the pandemic.

The organiser had hoped to reschedule the training day and conference to September 2020 but, with continued restrictions due to Covid, it has postponed in until June 2021.

The Training Day will take place on Wednesday June 9 and the Furnace Solutions conference on Thursday June 10.

The SGT’s annual meeting in Cambridge, UK in September is cancelled, the next one will be held in conjunction with the Physics of Non-Crystalline Solids conference between 4-9 July next year in Canterbury, UK.

The annual meeting will return to Cambridge in 2022.

The Society is also scheduled to host the Structure of Non-Crystalline Materials (NCM) conference in 2023.
