Şişecam has published the fourth volume of its Reference Project Series.

Titled “Şişecam Inspiring Projects – Architectural Design 2026”, the book brings together architectural and interior design projects from across the globe.

The volume continues to highlight the multi-layered role of glass in architecture and features a total of 184 projects, utilising 37 different Şişecam flat glass products.

Among these, 46 are global projects, 151 are architectural applications, and 33 are interior projects.

The publication also includes 38 different project types and showcases implementations by 44 authorised manufacturers.

Background

Today, glass selection in architecture has evolved into a critical design decision that goes far beyond its visual impact on façades, encompassing numerous technical and environmental parameters.

This includes solar and thermal control, safety and security, controlled daylight transmission, glare management, and acoustic performance.

Key factors such as building type, façade glass ratio, climate conditions, façade orientation, and compatibility with mechanical systems all play a crucial role in determining glass performance.

In this context, completed reference projects serve both as a source of inspiration and as a powerful decision-support tool for architects and designers.

Şişecam considers aesthetics, performance, and sustainability criteria when approaching glass selection.

Its Reference Projects Book Series aims to contribute to more informed, comparable, and efficient glass selection processes in new projects by bringing together contemporary architectural façade and interior applications within a single resource.

The book also includes decorative glass solutions in order to emphasise that glass is not only a façade solution but also a key design element that enhances aesthetic, functional, and spatial quality in interior spaces.

The book is available via the Şişecam website.
