Şişecam signs gender equality initiative

WEPs are a set of principles that offer guidance to businesses on how to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace.

Şişecam has signed the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) which advances gender equality in the workplace.

WEPs are a set of principles, established by UN Women and UN Global Compact, which offer guidance to businesses on how to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.

The WEPs are also a roadmap for business sustainability, innovation and productivity.

On its LinkedIn page, the manufacturer said: "At Şişecam, sustainability is the focal point of our business operations on the journey of steadily advancing towards our goal of ranking among the world's top three players in our main fields of activity.

"Seeing gender equality as integral to our inclusive corporate culture, we are happy to announce that we signed the Women's Empowerment Principles."
