Şişecam achieved consolidated net sales of 162 billion TRY (approximately $3.8 billion) for the first nine months of 2025.
The share of international sales, representing the sum of exports from Türkiye and sales from production facilities outside Türkiye, accounted for 60% of total consolidated sales.
In the same period, Şişecam’s total investment amounted to 22.9 billion TRY, while exports reached $706 million.
During this period, Şişecam produced 4.2 million tons of glass, 3.2 million tons of soda ash, and 2.9 million tons of industrial raw materials.
Şişecam CEO Can Yücel said: “Despite ongoing challenges and volatility in the global economic landscape, Şişecam continues its efforts to enhance operational profitability, maintain its market position, and create value for all stakeholders through sustainable, value-added production.
“The ‘Efficiency Management Programme’, which we launched at the beginning of the year, with a focus on a more productive working approach, has once again contributed positively to our results during the third quarter. We will maintain the same level of diligence throughout the remainder of 2025.”
Investments
Mr Yücel highlighted that several of Şişecam’s investments were now starting to generate returns, including its energy glass production line in Tarsus, Türkiye.
He said: “We commissioned the energy glass furnace and processing lines in Tarsus on September 19, 2025.
“With a total investment of €200 million, our annual installed patterned glass production capacity in Türkiye reached 396 thousand tons, and our energy glass processing capacity reached 47 million m².”
Since its launch, the investment has seen strong domestic demand.
Through the project, Şişecam aims to support Türkiye to in utilising its resources more efficiently in the energy sector, contribute to the green transformation process, and reduce energy glass imports.
Mr Yücel continued: “We will also complete our investment in the Tarsus flat glass furnace, which is part of our Tarsus production complex and has a daily capacity of 1,200 tons, within the planned schedule.
“Together with our other facilities in the region, this investment will provide our country with a capacity that offers significant export potential thanks to its proximity to logistics routes and its strategic location.”
In addition, Şişecam has signed a credit agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for up to €550 million to finance its investments and working capital needs in Türkiye.
Mr Yücel concluded: “As an active global player in all core areas of glass, we will focus on creating maximum value for all stakeholders while effectively managing geopolitical risks that are likely to persist in 2026.”
