The president of the Vitrum 2013 trade fair said he is optimistic it will be a success.
Dino Fenzi, President of Vitrum, told visitors to an Italian-themed evening at Glasstec he was positive that technologically cutting-edge exhibitors would be favourably received.
He said: “We are positive that our technologically cutting-edge exhibitors will be favorably received and that interesting business opportunities will reward the efforts expended by companies to developed increasingly more advanced and tailor-made solutions.”
The Vitrum show is an international biennial trade fair for machinery, equipment and systems for the processing of flat and hollow glass, glass and finished products for the industry.
It is set to take place in the Fiera Milano/Rho exhibition grounds, Milan, Italy between October 23 - 26, 2013.
The last event in 2011 had 71,000 m2 of exhibition space, with 500 Italian and international exhibitors, a 3.3% increase in foreign visitors with a total of 20,255 participants.
The next show will be divided into three themed areas: Flat glass, technologies for industrial glass, construction glass, and glass for furnishing.
An entire area - Vitrum Hollow Glass - will be dedicated to the processing industry of glass tableware, bottles, special glass for pharmaceutical and technical applications, and products to meet safety and hygiene standards.
The focus will also be on energy-saving technologies and on renewable energy sources in the Vitrum Energy section, an exciting area packed full with opportunities and where glass continues to be front and centre on the green economy stage.
