250 TPedge solar modules have been installed on the façade of the new laboratory building at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg, Germany.

The technology was unveiled at the inauguration of the new laboratory building. The modules are manufactured at Bystronic glass in Neuhausen-Hamberg, Germany. They are a joint development between Bystronic glass and Fraunhofer ISE on the basis of a Fraunhofer patent.

The TPedge modules, at 1636mm x 985mm in size, have passed the mechanical load test up to a force measuring 2400 N/m2 and the hail impact test with ball speeds of 23 m/s.
