The Stölzle Glass Group has won a WorldStar Award in the category of ‘Beverage’ for its Isle of Harris gin bottle.
Members of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), made up of representatives from 23 packaging associations, judged the 291 packaging projects from 35 countries that entered the WorldStar Awards 2017.
To be eligible to enter the WPO WorldStar Awards the packaging must have been a winner in a national or international competition that is recognised by WPO.
The bespoke Isle of Harris bottle was created by Stölzle Flaconnage, the British production site of the Stölzle Glass Group.
It is a customised product with a bespoke rippled design over the whole bottle, which reflects the nature of the island’s beautiful and rugged scenery.
A base surface turquoise spray is added to reflect the characteristics of the sea.
A slight indentation eases the serving of the gin.
In 2016 the Stölzle Glass Group won awards for the bottle at the UK’s Luxury Packaging Awards and the German Packaging Awards, as well as bronze at the Starpack Awards.
