Taiwan Glass Industries (TGI) has announced an investment of $360 million for setting up 10 more low-E glass production lines, aiming to boost its annual output of 489,000 tonnes in 2013.
Low-E glass is a high-performance, low-emissivity product, based on vacuum sputtering coating technology. The product is expected to boost the company’s profits after the additional lines are in place. Currently, the company produces 93,600 tonnes of the product per year.
