Tiama has appointed Michel Carpentier as Director for its Hot-End Business Unit created earlier this year.
The unit was formed to develop the company’s hot end operations; Tiama also plans to double the amount of employees in its hot end team.
Mr Carpentier, who is also part of Tiama board, has many years of experience as Production Manager and Plant Manager. The company believes he will be able to find the right solutions for global challenges and the needs of customers.
On his new role, Mr Carpentier said: "Glass quality has always been a hot end process consequence, that is the reason why we think it is so important to invest all our energy and competences in providing efficient hot end sensors, equipment and software, helping our customers in their daily production life."
Tiama’s first hot end system was launched in 2006, before the company purchased Swedish company GE in 2012 to develop and integrate the GIA (Gob Image Analyser) in its hot end product range.
In 2014, Tiama introduced the Tiama HOT systems at Glasstec, a full range of sensors dedicated to the hot end.
All Tiama’s hot end systems are participating in the development of Industry 4.0.
The systems will also provide data to the software developed as part of GlassFORM.ai, Bottero and Tiama’s joint company that was launched earlier this year.
