This recognition places Tiama in the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform.
The platinum medal is the highest rating awarded by the platform.
It reflects Tiama’s performance across four key areas: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Tiama said the recognition was the result of a collective effort by all its employees.
The supplier aims to develop high-performing solutions while reducing the carbon footprint of its customers, as well as its own.
This dual focus is demonstrated by its YOUniverse concept, a holistic approach to smart factory optimisation.
It has led to key advancements in Tiama's operations and products, benefiting both its customers and the environment.
YOUniverse is designed to enhance efficiency, performance, and sustainability across the entire manufacturing process.
By integrating multiple Tiama solutions, glassmakers can achieve substantial reductions in energy consumption, waste, and emissions.
Tiama has also been recognised by its customers for its sustainability efforts.
For example, pharmaceutical glass manufacturer SGD Pharma presented Tiama with a Gold Award for sustainability in June 2024.
Tiama is the only equipment manufacturer to receive this distinction.
