Verallia has appointed Pierre-Henri Desportes as Chairman of Verallia France.

With extensive experience in the industrial sector, Mr Desportes took over as head of the group's French subsidiary on November 2, 2022.

His industrial expertise, his commitment, his passion for our businesses and operational excellence will enable him to pursue the ambitious roadmap that the group has set itself in France. A graduate of the École Polytechnique and a master's degree from HEC-Entrepreneurs, Mr Desportes began his career in 2003 at Saint-Gobain Desjonquères, within the bottling activity of the Mers-les-Bains plant as manager of perfumery production.

In 2007, he joined Michelin as workshop manager in Vannes, before taking over the management of the Rayong plant in Thailand.

During these 4 years, he was rewarded with several internal prizes for his efforts in improving safety processes and the quality of life at work.

In 2014, Mr Desportes became Project Manager then Principal for the Boston Consulting Group, which operates in several industrial sectors including petroleum, aeronautics, and agro-food.

In 2017, he joined the Plastic Omnium group, first as Industrial Vice-President of the Exterior activity in charge of 50 factories.

He then took charge of the Central Europe zone for the Exterior division as Chairman and CEO before becoming Chairman and CEO of the lighting division before his arrival at Verallia France.
