Verescence is the first glassmaker to join the consortium, which aims to promote the importance of the beauty industry in Europe.
Founded at the beginning of 2024, the Value of Beauty Alliance brings together companies from the European beauty and personal care value chain.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of the industry and highlight its positive contributions to Europe, both at an economic and societal level.
Verescence officially joined the consortium in December.
Other consortium members include L’Oréal, Beiersdorf, and Kiko Milano.
Thomas Riou, CEO of Verescence, said: “We are proud to be the first glassmaker to join the Value of Beauty Alliance and to contribute to this essential initiative, which underscores the richness and importance of our ecosystem.
“With an annual turnover of €29 billion, over 3 million direct and indirect jobs, and €2.35 billion invested annually in research and development, the beauty and personal care industry plays a vital economic and societal role in Europe.”
The Value of Beauty Alliance is open to all companies and professional associations within the European beauty value chain.
It aims to unite manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and researchers around a shared vision of innovation and collaboration.
