Vetropack has produced its first glass from the newly constructed furnace at its Croatian plant.
A few days after the first glass stream, production started on all lines.
Vetropack’s food jars were the first item to be manufactured.
The company also debuted its servo-driven NIS machine, which aims to improve production efficiency and reduce emissions.
Vetropack said: “This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, combining advanced technology with our tradition of producing high quality glass packaging.”
The furnace modernisation project at Vetropack Straža started on September 2nd, 2024.
The final brick of the 500 tpd furnace was laid last month in an official ceremony.
