Vidrala has completed the acquisition of Chile-located glass manufacturer Cristalerías Toro for €75 million.

Vidrala acquired 100% of the share capital of the manufacturer, based in Santiago, Chile.

The Spanish headquartered industrial group had been providing technical assistance to Cristalerías Toro for several years.

Vidrala Chile will provide to customers in the food and beverage segments, many of whom are global, strategic and particularly complementary to the group’s commercial base.

Raúl Gómez, CEO of Vidrala, said he recognised the industrial legacy of the Toro family, the company’s founders, the continued support of customers, and the work of the people and management team who have run the company under recent demanding business conditions.

"Vidrala Chile is born, integrated into a multinational group with a firmly industrial, long-term and customer-focused vision.

"We will deploy our glassmaking model, creating value in the country, promoting industry and glass as the definitive Chilean packaging material, in service of our reason for being: our customers.”

The acquisition of €75 million includes assumed debt.

In 2025, Cristalerías Toro generated revenues of 79,915 million pesos and adjusted EBITDA of 13,216 million pesos, equivalent to €75 million and €12 million, respectively.
