Zippe receives Osotspa batch plant order in Thailand

Zippe Industrieanlagen received an order for a new batch plant in Ayutthaya from Osotspa (Siam Glass) in 2017.

The two older batch plants, which had supplied furnace AY#1 and furnace AY#2, were replaced by a new Zippe batch plant.

The plant is designed for a total melting capacity of 470 tonnes per day.

Now that the new furnace AY#1 is operational again following the cold repair in April 2018, the cold repair of furnace AY#2 is due.

As part of this project, the batch plant will be extended and equipped with a second mixer.

The scope of supply also includes a new batch transport as well as an extension of the internal cullet return system for the new furnace AY#2.

Both furnaces produce amber coloured bottles for the Osotspa energy drink, M150.

Commissioning of the new furnace AY#2 is planned for February 2021.
