The ViraconGlass planning tool was created to help architects and designers visualise their glass selections, under the slogan ‘takes guesswork out of glass’.
ViraconGlass was unveiled at the AIA National Convention in Chicago in June, and can be downloaded from the iPad app store.
The app allows users to select from 25 different coatings on 15 substrates, presenting transmitted and reflective glass colour on a variety of building types.
The models can then be viewed under different lighting conditions from both interior and exterior perspectives and can be compared to one another.
With a specific glass project in mind, users can also explore size capability by dragging a corner or entering the dimensions manually in the Sizing Tool.
