Furnace technology provider Stara Glass will discuss why maintenance is vital not only for furnace lifetimes but for saving energy as well.

The Italian company will provide a paper at the Glassman Asia conference in South Korea next week titled: “Advantages of a periodic anamnesis of glass furnaces - The pursuit of well-being”.

Presenter Giorgio Minestrini said: “Every system, both human and industrial, expresses the best of itself only if adequately maintained.

“Including the energy check-up of your furnace in predictive maintenance activities, has the benefit of extending the life of the furnace itself and saving both energy and money.

Stara Glass has been offering this service for 20 years and is ready to be the partner for the energy control of your system".

The company is also exhibiting on stand C15 at the event, which is focused on the manufacture of glass in industrial processes.

The Glassman shows bring together all stakeholders in the production of glass.

These include glass technology suppliers who provide engineering equipment to all stages of the glass manufacturing process, such as furnace providers, inspection machines specialists as well as refractory organisers.

Visitors tend to be glass manufacturers as well as their customers.

Pre-registered companies to attend next week’s event in South Korea include domestic companies such as SGC Solutions, Kumbi Corp, Dongwon Systems and KCC Glass.

The event takes place at Songdo Convensia, Incheon, South Korea on September 20 and 21.
