Germany's Zippe Industrieanlagen is building a completely new batch plant for the Mexican container glass factory Industria Vidriera de Caohuila (IVC) in Nava, Mexico.

The IVC production plant is a 50-50 joint venture between Owens-Illinois (O-I) and Constellation Brands and produces container packages for Constellation’s neighbouring brewery.

The batch plant has a total capacity of 990 tons of glass per day and includes the batch and cullet transport system, the automatic cullet return system for new furnaces 3 and 4, and also the complete electrical control system.

The order was placed with Zippe on a turnkey basis.

Production is scheduled to start in May 2017.
