Saverglass will cut 112 jobs at its manufacturing facility in Le Havre, France.
The French government approved a job protection plan at the site this week, which will eliminate 112 jobs.
Saverglass was acquired by Australian packaging group Orora in December 2023.
Earlier this month Orora Chairman, Rob Sindel, said: "The performance of Saverglass has not met expectations in our first 18 months ownership.
"Demand was softer than forecast, however we are confident the changes we are making both here, in Australia and globally will ensure the future success of our glass business."
In May this year Orora group said 139 of the 480 jobs at the plant would be lost.
Saverglass said: "Negotiations between management and union representatives took place between May and September.
"Following 14 meetings, a majority agreement was signed with all the trade unions. This agreement sets out the conditions for supporting the 112 jobs impacted.
"The site's reorganisation plan was approved by the Regional Directorate for the Economy, Employment, Labour and Solidarity (DREETS) on Monday.
"This approval launched the voluntary departure period, which will last until the end of November.
"All applications submitted will be reviewed by the Works Council monitoring committee, and the redundancy implementation period will begin in December if the number of voluntary departures proves insufficient.
"An information and advisory unit, together with the management team, is providing a range of extensive support for all employees in the implementation of this plan."
